Shower Glass with Pits in it - Does your shower glass suffer from 'pits' in the glass? I paid $150 per shower to have these marks professionally removed from my showers. It is the lime in certain waters (such as Western Bay of Plenty) that causes this. There is a simple economical way to remove these 'pits' in the glass. Use good old Baking Soda and a green cleaning pad. Buy the green cleaning pads from the supermarket in packs of 6. Put the Soda on the cleaning pad with a little water and, using a circular motion, clean away those pits in the glass. After the initial big clean, an easy clean once a month will keep the 'pits' away.
Immune Support, Stimulate Circulation, Decongestant for Nasal Passages, Clear Sinuses. Try Kawakawa Tea with Ginger. This is a pleasant tasting tea. Drink first thing in the morning to heighten your feeling or wakefulness. Ginger is anti-inflammatory, helps with arthritis and is anti-viral to fight influenza virus. Get leaves off the Kawakawa tree, dry them and add some dried ginger. If that is not feasible
and I will send you a pack. Cost is $10.00 including postage.
Carrot Seeds - Put a packet of radish seeds into the carrot seed packet and sow. The radishes will grow first and keep the carrots from growing too close together.
Yoghurt Made Easy - Do you have an Easiyo Yoghurt Maker and the Jar it comes with or a 1 Quart (old preserving) Jar? If not, Trade Me have them for arond $10. This recipe eliminates the need to buy expensive yoghurt sachets.
1/2 cup natural yoghurt with live cultures (needed for first one as a starter)
1 cup Whole Milk Powder
Boil a jug of water. Meanwhile, half fill jar with cold water and add yoghurt and milk powder - put lid on and shake thoroughly. top up with cold water. Put boiling water into Yoghurt Maker up to the 'mark', put in your jar and let to set - about 4-5 hours. The longer it is left the more 'tart' it becomes. Can add sugar during making to sweeten if desired. When set transfer jar to fridge and enjoy! To make more repeat the process using own yoghurt as a starter. Starter may lose quality over time. If this occurs, purchase or make some natural yoghurt and continue to make your own deliciously inexpensive yoghurt.
